CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

Depending on the terrain, construction will proceed underground or aerially. In areas with existing underground utilities, we will begin digging and boring. In rocky terrain, fiber will be installed on existing electric or telephone poles.

CONDUIT & FIBER DISTRIBUTION

During this stage, conduit is installed underground and fiber optic cables are laid. This step specifically applies to buried construction projects.

RESTORATION & TESTING

Before service becomes available, we conduct thorough testing and activate the network. Additionally, we ensure any areas disrupted during construction are promptly restored.

NEW CONSTRUCTION QUESTIONS

  • Utility Identification Explanation
Red = Electric Orange = Telecommunications Yellow = Gas Green = Sewer Blue = Water White = Ideal Excavation Path
  • There are flags are in my yard. What does this mean?
Before Total Highspeed can begin construction of the fiber network, the area must be inspected by local utility companies. These companies help us determine where certain utilities are underground. Our crew will come back through the area to remove the flags once construction is complete.
  • I have personal underground utilities (such as a sprinkler system). How do I contact Total Highspeed to ensure no damage occurs?
Due to the nature of building a network, our team understands and will approach your property with the assumption that you may have personal utilities on your property. We will do our best to avoid these. If you would like to talk about your property with one of our construction crew members, please call the number on the flyer left at your home or fill out the form below and someone will be in contact with you.
